Extension Care

A little extra care helps keep your extensions soft, manageable and looking their best.

• Brush gently every day, starting at the ends and working upward. Support the hair near the attachment points and avoid catching beads, thread or bonds.
• Use a quality sulfate-free shampoo suitable for extensions. Cleanse gently and rinse thoroughly.
• Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends, keeping it away from attachment points.
• Dry your hair thoroughly after washing, especially around the weft rows. Never go to bed with wet or damp extensions.
• Use heat protectant before styling and the lowest effective heat setting. Keep hot tools away from attachment points.
• Wear your hair in a loose braid for sleep. A silk or satin pillowcase can help reduce friction.
• Keep your scheduled maintenance appointments and contact the salon if you notice slipping, persistent tangling or discomfort.

IBE® Weft Extensions

Carefully brush between your rows without pulling on the wefts or catching the beads and thread. Dry each row thoroughly after washing. Plan your maintenance appointment every 6–8 weeks, or as advised at your appointment.

K-Tip Extensions

Keep conditioner, oils and heavy styling products away from the keratin bonds. Separate the bonds gently with your fingers to help prevent tangling, and never apply a flat iron or curling iron directly to them.

Swimming with Extensions

Limit exposure to chlorine and salt water. Before swimming, wet your hair with fresh water, apply an extension-safe leave-in conditioner to the lengths and secure it in a loose braid. Rinse thoroughly afterward, then gently cleanse, condition and dry your hair completely.

The First 72 Hours

• Wait at least 72 hours before shampooing or getting your hair wet.
• Keep your hair down. Avoid ponytails, clips, pins and tucking your hair behind your ears.
• Avoid swimming, steam and activities that leave your hair damp with sweat.
• If your hair gets wet, blow-dry it promptly and contact the salon for guidance.

After the Waiting Period

• Choose a quality sulfate-free shampoo formulated without sodium chloride, plus a suitable conditioner.
• Check both details on the label — sulfate-free does not automatically mean sodium chloride-free.
• Use heat protectant before styling and avoid excessive heat.
• Limit chlorine and salt-water exposure, and rinse thoroughly with fresh water afterward.
• Ask at your appointment for product recommendations suited to your hair and treatment.

Brazilian Blowout Original Care

After Your Appointment

There is no waiting period after Brazilian Blowout Original. You can wash your hair, exercise or wear it in a ponytail immediately after your appointment.

Ongoing Care

• Use a quality sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner suitable for smoothing-treated hair.
• Use heat protectant before styling and avoid excessive heat.
• Limit chlorine and salt-water exposure. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water after swimming.
